It organises various practical and educational short-term courses for adults with intellectual disabilities to pursue continuing education. Teachers will tailor-make the curriculum and adopt diversified teaching methods, such as group work, interactive learning and individual instruction, to cater for different needs and abilities of the students.
Clients
People aged 15 or above, with mild or moderate intellectual disabilities.
Capacity: at least 10 students per class
Application
Quarterly programme pamphlets are obtainable at the service unit. Completed enrolment form can be returned to the office in person or by mail with a crossed cheque. Our staff will contact the applicants by phone upon receipt of the enrolment form, and to get to know more about their abilities, needs and characteristics for course adaptation when needed. Successful applicants will receive official receipt and notice of class location and time accordingly.

The Hongkong Bank Foundation Hong Chi Community Education Institute
The Institute was set up in 2003 with the aim of providing continuing education opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to meet their need for life-long learning. Various kinds of courses are offered for people with intellectual disabilities to develop their abilities and knowledge. We hope it can increase their competitiveness in the job market and enable them to stay in tune with the times.

HK$200 per year for each certificate course (For particular courses, students must supply their own materials and equipment, e.g. painting tools and musical instruments)
