Beneficiary Stories
Meal Subsidy|Easing Chi Ying's family financial burden
Chi Ying (Alias) lives with her parents, sister, and grandmother. Her mother is the main caregiver for Chi Ying, her sister with moderate intellectual disability, and their chronically ill grandmother. The family relies solely on the father's limited income, leading to long-term financial strain.
The meal subsidy not only provides Chi Ying with nutritious meals at school but also helps ease financial burdens while supporting the family throughout their caregiving journey.
Transportation Subsidy|Support Hong Yau in pursuing his dream
Hong Yau (Alias), a passionate football player and member of the Hong Kong, China Sports Association for persons with Intellectual Disability, trains twice weekly as a goalkeeper between Tuen Mun and Kowloon. Living with his mother and brother, his family has long relied on the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme. Although his mother has returned to work and the family's finances are improving, expensive transportation costs for school bus and training remain a burden.
The transport subsidy helps him continue training, build confidence, and pursue his goals.
