Hong Chi Social Enterprise Office (SEO) has been providing non-subvented on-the-job training for trainees with intellectual disabilities in a real-life work environment to help explore their job interests. The SEO has also been actively reaching out to different types of business corporations and organizations to explore additional opportunities for trainees, so that they can put their skills into practice which ultimately will assist them to integrate into society.
Kin-ho, 28 years old, graduated from Shine Skills Centre and later joined Hong Chi Pinehill Integrated Vocational Training Centre. Through an internship at Hong Chi Social Enterprise Office, he developed customer communication skills. With his effort and instructors’ guidance, he transformed into an independent employee. In June 2024, he joined Synergy-Cargo Group as a Shipping and Administrative Clerk, responsible for handling quotations and other shipping-related documents, and communicating with overseas colleagues and clients by email and WhatsApp. Over the past year, Kin-ho earned positive feedback from both supervisors and colleagues, showcasing the potential and value of Hong Chi trainee in open employment.
We will continue to explore more training and employment opportunities for our trainees.
